We’re finally breaking the silence about the change in personalities on the show. This week’s episode is all about getting to know our new Andy, Andy Gold. Mostly we talk about Mormon stuff.
Our guest this week is Carlos Santos. He’s an actor, comedian, and improvisor originally from Puerto Rico, currently living in Los Angeles. We talk about translating comedy, typecasting, his time at MTV, going broke to pursue your passion, doing accents for work, and US relations with Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
Joining us this episode is James Adomian, who is a man of too many talents to list! We talk about growing up as a gay jock, coming out and losing friends, and trying to be gay on the poor side of town. Also, oddly enough, mythology and religion come up a ton!
Find James on Twitter and look for his new FB and YouTube pages soon.
Dan and Andy wore suits to sit down with writer/comedian Solomon Georgio and talk about race, politics, queer culture, growing up in Seattle, and our relationships with our parents.
Each of us also reveals something from our past that wasn’t super progressive and we aren’t proud of. So definitely tune in for that!
This week we had the utter privilege of being joined by the celebrated American author and badass feminist Lindy West! She brought so much great stuff to the show! Big themes are body image, fat shaming (the president), using our position to defend those with smaller voices, the responsibilities of social media, and the time Andy brought a gun to Lindy’s house.
There’s also a great VulnerabiliBuddies and Lindy teaches us that a woman’s only job in life is to be sexually attractive!
This week we’re joined by the absolutely wonderful Danielle Perez. Danielle is a a stand up comedian who, at the age of 20, was in a severe accident that left her in a wheelchair. She talks with us about that accident, the process of acceptance, and how life can completely change in the blink of an eye.
We also dive into ableism, PTSD, drug and alcohol abuse, dating, comedy, sex, regret, and The Price is Right!!
PLUS a really heavy VulneraBuddies!!
Our guest this week is writer, comedian, wonderful human, Casey Ley. We talk about growing up gay, coming out of the closet, the random things our mothers hold on to, being HIV positive, and being OPEN about being HIV positive. We also get into drugs, college, masculinity, shame, suicide, fear, apps, relationships, pros and cons of gay marriage, and pretty much everything else.
This episode gets a little heavy, but Casey is absolutely awesome and there are some great laughs.
